What is your middle name? Does it carry any special meaning/significance?
My middle name is Michael and its greatest significance
to me is my childhood cowboys and indians blanket.
My brother and I had matching blankets,
except one was slightly brighter than the other.
We shared a room and would often fight
about which blanket belonged to whom.
My mother came up with a solution.
She told us that my middle name meant "Child of God"
and that my brother's, Martin, had to do with light,
or maybe is was the brightness of god,
I don't remember exactly what his middle name means,
but because it had to do with lightness,
the darker blanket belonged to me.
I just googled my brother's middle name
and it has nothing to do with brightness or light.
Maybe she duped us into some story to stop the fighting.
Either way, the darker (cooler and better) blanket was mine!
