There is Only Action

There is only action. Each stroke of this pen in preceded by thoughts of hesitation and evaluation, but yet, only ink from the pen remains. A billion thoughts come and go; only action can affect the outside world - - the world our thoughts try so desperately to command and control. It's ironic that our thoughts are the only part of us that lack agency and yet they are obsessed with telling the universe what to do.

Fear. The mind's survival mechanism for the body. The mind exists to protect our body, which exists to ensure future generations of our species. The mind, however, is over-protective. Instead of helping and guarding our body and our fellow humans, it over exaggerates its role. The mind falsifies an internal identity separate from the body, and obsesses on protecting that. When the mind is unable to reconcile its synthesized ideal identity with reality, suffering occurs.
