I want to swell in wonder of song,
to dance with melodies and rhythms
that invigorate my soul spiritually.
I want to close my eyes and hear
my brother play guitar at night,
the way he used to in high school
when music unlocked the gates of life.
Some warm energy would overcome me,
opening me up to the calm of now,
acoustic guitar plucking life's strings.
